The trial version of Monarca Enterprise is fully-functional but has a feature limitation. You can perform database migrations of 1000 records per table as maximum.

Use it at no cost, but if you want to remove this limitation you need to buy a commercial license.

Monarca Enterprise requires Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 or greater to run. You can download it from http://java.sun.com/.

To install and run Monarca Enterprise:

1. Double-click the Monarca installer file (monarca-enterprise2.3-installer.jar).
2. If that fails go to your JRE 'bin' folder and type the following command on your prompt:

java -jar monarca-enterprise2.3-installer.jar

Additional steps if your JRE is not in your path: Edit the startup script and set the JDK_EXE variable to your JRE location. The startup script file can be found in:

* '{INSTALLATION_HOME}\bin\monarca.bat' (for Windows users)
* '{INSTALLATION_HOME}/bin/monarca.sh' (for Linux and other Generic Unix users)

Note for Linux or Generic Unix users: you might need to run 'chmod +x monarca.sh' in order to launch the script.
